X-men Origins: Wolverine

X-men Origins: Wolverine (2009 - action/adventure)

I have to be honest to start with. When Hugh Jackman takes of his shirt in a movie, I adore the movie immediately. So as you may understand I was happy in advance to know I was gonna watch Hugh as Wolverine. Considering the fact that I know Wolverine wears sleeveless shirts and takes of his shirts on occasion.

If you're a man and reading this: Just accept it. Don't get annoyed. Hugh is cute as hell. And there's an upside for you too: Your girlfriend probably loves every actionmovie if he's in it. So you can relax and watch your movie. And maybe get lucky afterwards.

Anyway, the movie tells the story of Wolverine, one of the comicbook heroes of the X-men.
Two mutant brothers, Logan and Victor, suffer childhood trauma and have only each other to depend on. They're fighters and killers, living from war to war through U.S. history. In modern times, a U.S. colonel, Stryker, recruits them and other mutants as commandos. Logan quits and becomes a logger, falling in love with a local teacher. When Logan refuses to rejoin Stryker's crew, the colonel sends the murderous Victor. Logan now wants revenge.

That's more or less the storyline.
In this movie I love the special effects, the action scenes and I think the actors have done a nice job acting. I really got into the storyline. I've seen a few X-men movies already and this movie tells the story of how Logan became Wolverine.

You also get to see a lot of Hugh. Not only sleeveles and shirtless. But there's actually a scene where he escapes out of a lab naked! It made my female heart go a bit faster!

Anyway, besides the welcome nakedness the movie is put together in a smart way. Loads of action, bit of romance, bit of drama. It's obviously made for a big audience and they probably won't regret it.
It's not a movie I will remember in five years, but I certainly don't regret watching it either.

It will be nice to know that there's a new Wolverine movie coming up this year. About Wolverine going to Japan to face his ultimate nemesis.

Quick judgement:

>>It's a superheroe movie with quite a bit of action. Don't expect the greatest storyline ever, but it's nice enough.

>>Your boyfriend will probably love this one too (read: lots of action scenes and special effects)

>> You'll have some lovely eyecandy to watch while enjoying the movie (read: a naked Hugh)
